CERAMIC / CLAY SCULPTURE

Thursdays, 10AM-1PM

Cost: $200. U.S.D. for 4 CONSECUTIVE SESSIONS plus $25.00 supply & firing fee. OPEN STUDIO at $60.00 U.S.D. per class... $25.00 U.S.D. Per hour...

Form clay into unique, sculptural/functional masterpiece of your own creation and imagination. During a 4-session workshop you will learn wedging, slab rolling, pinch pot, coiling, slump molds and free-form construction . Patricia will also cover a number of decorative techniques, including ceramic glazing, Raku, non-fired finishes and adding mixed media to your work. Optional 5th class (addtl. $50) includes excursion to the claymaking town of El Tuito for demo and claymaking experience.

OR choose to join me for OPEN CLAY STUDIO where you will have the opportunity to explore the medium of clay with my guidance, or further your existing knowledge using my studio, tools, supplies and kiln. Also offering week-long Clay Art Adventure.

Create an exciting, lasting, functional piece of ceramic art! During this class, artist Patricia Gawle will help you to create your own masterpiece. You will learn how to design, transfer to tile and paint with ceramic glazes. You will have the opportunity to work with a master tile painter on your own tiles or tile insert.
